American Civil Liberties Union

ACLU is a public interest organisation which was founded in 1920 with the aim of protecting the basic civil liberties of all people in the United States. SRT’s grants have supported ACLU campaigns on torture and against the ‘targeted killing’ of terrorism suspects in Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia by the US administration.
