International Service for Human Rights
Founded in 1984, the International Service for Human Rights (the International Service) builds the capacity of human rights defenders and works in partnership with them and others to strengthen human rights standards and systems, particularly in relation to the protection of human rights defenders, at the international, regional and national levels. It focuses its work on women human rights defenders, defenders working on issues of sexual orientation and gender identity, those working on business and human rights, and human rights defenders in states undergoing transition. The International Service conducts trainings, advocacy accompaniment, policy development, advocacy, research and coalition-building.
