REDRESS
REDRESS is a London-based human rights organisation working around the world seeking reparation for torture survivors, by engaging in litigation, advocacy and capacity-building. They have two programmes relating to their core work: Justice, which is about bringing legal claims that can have an impact on torture, and Reparation, which includes new work on asset recovery and sanctions. There are then two programmes that respond to pressing thematic issues: Dissent, where they challenge torture used against protesters, human rights defenders, and journalists, and Discrimination, through which they will challenge discriminatory torture, including LGBT torture. Lastly, their programme on Solidarity seeks to focus our engagement with the broader anti-torture movement with a clear purpose to support and strengthen them.
