aChord: Social Psychology for Social Change is an Israeli nonprofit organisation founded in 2016, working to advance equal, tolerant, and respectful relations between groups in Israel and between Israel and its neighbours. aChord’s expertise is in social psychology  – the scientific study of the influence of individuals and groups on people’s emotional experiences and behaviour. The organisation translates social psychological theory, research, and data into practical interventions designed to affect people’s attitudes, emotions, perceptions, and behaviours. It partners with nonprofit organisations, governmental agencies, educational institutions, and businesses, and trains them to apply practical tools and interventions to combat racism, discrimination, and inter/intra-group conflict.
