Cape Town Holocaust Centre
The Cape Town Holocaust Centre opened in 1999 and hosts a permanent exhibition on the Holocaust, which includes sections on the pseudo-science of ‘race’, the roots of anti-Semitism, and the institutionalised racism of apartheid. The South African Holocaust & Genocide Foundation provides the educational and philosophical direction for the three Holocaust Centres in South Africa and is dedicated to providing support for the national curriculum through the development of classroom support materials and the facilitation of national in-service teacher training, adult programmes, and seminars.
