Ceasefire Centre for Civilian Rights
The Ceasefire Centre for Civilian Rights is a new initiative to develop “civilian-led monitoring” of human rights abuses, with the aim of improving protection of vulnerable civilians in situations of state failure or armed conflict. The Centre will ensure that timely and reliable information is made widely available, in a secure manner, from countries or territories where the security situation makes existing reporting poor or non-existent, and will pursue legal and political accountability for those responsible for such abuses and their sponsors.
