Center for Education, Counselling and Research (CESI)

The Center for Education, Counselling and Research (CESI) was established in 1997 in response to violations of women’s rights, nationalism, and militarisation in post-war Croatia. Based in Zagreb, CESI works for the realisation of gender equality and women’s rights, the prevention of violence against women and the promotion of sexual and reproductive rights through a number of programmes. These include, research and advocacy on public policies and legislation; education and training with young people to prevent gender based violence; and online and offline work promoting women’s economic empowerment, political participation and employment.
