ChemSec

ChemSec was founded in 2002 and is based in Sweden. The organisation aims to speed up the transition to a world free of hazardous chemicals. It works through research and advocacy to improve chemicals legislation, analyses and publishes scientific evidence to inform businesses and investors about the risks of hazardous chemicals and available safer alternatives, whilst also seeking to pressure the chemicals industry to eliminate toxic chemicals. The group works primarily at the EU level, but its activities have global influence.
