Civitates

Civitates is a pooled fund, composed of over 20 philanthropic foundations. It was established in 2017 with the aim of strengthening civil society in Europe, in response to concerns at the state of democracy and closing civic space. This grant contributes to the sub-fund on public interest journalism.
