Domestic Violence Intervention Project
The Domestic Violence Intervention Project has pioneered working with both perpetrators and victims.
Established in 1991, the Domestic Violence Intervention Project (DVIP) aims to increase the safety of women and children who experience domestic violence. DVIP takes a unique and innovative approach to domestic violence prevention by providing several connected services including a programme directly targeting perpetrators, a women’s support services programme aimed at both victims and partners, supervised services for children, and an Arabic-language outreach programme on domestic violence through Imams and mosques in local communities.
