DreamYard

DreamYard provides arts opportunities for young people and families in the Bronx, New York. Founded in 1994, they run programmes across poetry, fashion, music, dance, media and visual arts in afterschool clubs, partnerships with schools and weekend and summer camps. In 2006, DreamYard founded an arts-focussed school using their teaching methodology. They also run specific partnerships with developers of affordable social housing and have built a hub for their work. DreamYard have developed school-to-work programmes such as summer workplace learning, connecting the young people of the Bronx to the wider New York creative community and supporting future employment for their alumni.
