Emthonjeni Women’s Forum

Founded in 2010 in Bulawayo, Emthonjeni Women’s Forum (EWF) is a women’s rights organisation working to prevent and respond to violence against women and girls. To achieve this, EWF’s interventions focus on policy and advocacy, transforming harmful attitudes and gender norms (including using SASA! methodologies), supporting survivors of abuse in court proceedings, providing counselling for survivors and perpetrators of abuse, and economic empowerment. EWF’s direct services and norm change work is in Matabeleland North, South, and Bulawayo. The organisation also delivers national-level policy and advocacy work.
