EuroMed Rights: The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Network
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Network (Euro-Med Rights) is a coalition of more than 70 non-governmental regional and national human rights organisations from around 30 countries south and north of the Mediterranean that joined forces in 1997 as a response to the 1995 Barcelona Declaration and the ensuing Euro-Mediterranean Partnership. It builds its activities on networking, capacity building and dialogue between civil society groups, and uses human rights documentation and advocacy to pressure states in the Euro-Med region and the European Institutions to concretely implement their human rights obligations under their mutual agreements and other relevant policies.
