Filmanthropy – Anjan Sundaram

“Filmanthropy is a video production company that uses media as a tool for social good, providing full-service from support in the ideas stage, through to distribution. They work exclusively with organisations, groups and individuals that make a positive social impact such as community groups, charities, social enterprises or even corporate social responsibility.

This grant will go towards a film project by Anjan Sundaram, a TED Fellow, journalist and author, who is making a film that will profile and report on indigenous frontline environmental defenders in México. The film will report on the challenges that Mexico’s indigenous environmental defenders face, and the strategies they adopt to protect their communities and ecosystems. The reports will be published in the Mexican and international mainstream media.
