Foundation CURE

Foundation CURE is a feminist organisation which focuses primarily on working directly with women and girls to eradicate gender-based violence, promote sexual and reproductive rights, empower women in society, and strengthen the Bosnian women’s movement. CURE undertakes research, public advocacy, informal education, regional networking on women’s rights and peacebuilding, to build a safe, inclusive space for feminist activism. As the convener of an informal network of 55 smaller organisations (Women’s Network of Bosnia-Herzegovina), it builds the capacity of a wide range of women-led groups with a special focus on marginalised young women, including single parents, rural women, LGBTI, Roma, and women living with disabilities. CURE also holds the annual PitchWise Festival, an arts festival on women’s rights and feminist activism, which is currently in its 15th year.
