Foundation for Freedom of the Press

The Foundation for Freedom of the Press (FLIP) is a non-governmental organisation that monitors attacks on press freedom in Colombia. Its activities contribute to protecting journalists and media as well as promoting freedom of expression and access to information. Established in 1996 by a small group of journalists including Gabriel Garcia Márquez, it now has a network of over 30 correspondents who report press freedom violations throughout the country.
