Hestia

Founded over fifty years ago, Hestia is a UK-based charity supporting over 20,000 adults and children annually across London and the surrounding regions who have experienced trauma, to find safety, hope and purpose.

Through specialist support and nurturing trusted relationships, they help victims of modern slavery, women and children escaping domestic abuse, those struggling with their mental health, and people leaving the criminal justice system to build better mental health and empower them to get their lives back on track. Guided by the reality of service users’ experience, they also bring their voice to the attention of policy makers, partners and communities and push for policy change.

In addition to their team of 650 skilled staff, Hestia is supported by over 1,000 volunteers across London who provide specialist skills such as art therapy, yoga, IT, gardening and cooking, pro bono support, as well as befriending and fundraising.
