Human Rights Action

Human Rights Action was founded in 2004 and is one of the main human rights watchdog NGO in Montenegro. It works on a range of issues with a particular focus on: freedom of expression, the prevention of torture, independence of judiciary, economic and social rights and transitional justice. Human Rights Action conducts human rights monitoring, research, strategic litigation (representing victims before the highest courts and to the European court of Human Rights) and public advocacy. It has also engaged in human rights education projects.
