Minority Rights Group

Minority Rights Group International (MRG) is a global human rights organisation with consultative status at the UN (ECOSOC). It aims to secure the rights of ethnic, religious and linguistic minorities and indigenous peoples and to promote cooperation between communities. It works with some 150 national partner organisations in 50 countries worldwide, monitoring human rights, and using advocacy, training, publications and litigation to defend the rights of marginalised communities. It has launched the first global database of the world’s minorities and indigenous peoples.
