Peace Dialogue
Peace Dialogue was founded in Vanadzor in 2009 with a mission to protect human rights and promote non-violent conflict resolution. The organisation’s initial goal has been to engage civil society on the peaceful resolution of the NagornoKarabakh conflict by creating spaces for critical debates – it has supported dialogues across the conflict line and within Armenian society. Peace Dialogue also engages on security sector reform, advocating for the democratic oversight of the Armed forces, and monitoring and raising awareness on human rights in the Army. Peace Dialogue uses a range of tools: promoting dialogues, supporting activism including through training, conducting research, monitoring, and advocating for policy reforms. Peace Dialogue also provides legal support to conscripts.
