The Iris Project

The Iris Project is a pooled fund established in 2021 and housed within Global Greengrants Fund UK. Named in honour of Iris Goldsmith, the Iris Project celebrates young people’s efforts to protect their local natural environment through awarding three annual prizes. The project aims to help identify and resource the next generation of environmental leaders. In September 2022, prizes were awarded to conservation activists from Indonesia, Kenya and Malawi. Winners are supported with mentorships, a peer-network and knowledge-sharing, in addition to funding for their projects.
