Untold
Founded in 2019, Untold is a UK-based development programme offering writers in conflict zones a space to develop their craft and a means of reaching global audiences. The group works directly with authors to develop their storytelling skills; to disseminate their work locally; to translate it for an international audience; and to connect with one another and with writers from abroad. Untold seeks to work in places where creative industries are weak or absent, or with communities that been traditionally excluded from these pursuits.
A grant from the Trust will support Untold’s network of Afghan women writers, including both those who remain in country and those who were forced to flee.
