Women’s Initiatives for Gender Justice

Women’s Initiatives for Gender Justice works with women in the conflicts in Darfur, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Northern Uganda and the Central African Republic. It advocates for the prosecution of gender-based crimes by the International Criminal Court in conflict situations where it is conducting investigations, carries out documentation of gender-based crimes in armed conflicts, undertakes legal strategies to advance the jurisprudence related to gender-based crimes in international criminal law, and participates in Peace Talks and processes towards accountability, reconciliation and reparations.
