Women’s Initiatives Supporting Group

The Women’s Initiatives Supporting Group (WISG) was founded in 2000 as a feminist organisation to support the social, political, cultural and economic life of women in Georgia. Since 2005, its primary focus has been working with lesbian and bisexual women and transgender people, with some work covering the needs of the LGBT community as a whole. WISG’s activities centre on securing equal rights for LGBT people through advocacy, strategic litigation and legal counselling.
