Women’s Law Center
Established by a group of women lawyers in Chisinau in 2009, the Women’s Law Center is a non-governmental organisation that aims to promote gender equality and prevent and combat violence against women in Moldova. Moldova has made international and national commitments to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment, yet widespread political, social and economic discrimination still exists. Women’s Law Center provides services for women and children, conducts research and monitors national legislation to ensure alignment with international standards, and builds capacity of relevant professionals in the justice, social assistance, and health care sectors.
